Are you a grasshopper? Part I

An insect out of ice cream.  The boys received 3 scoops of ice cream (one scoop for each of the 3 body part of an insect.)  Twizzlers were used for the antennae, skittles for the eyes, pretzels for the legs, and magic shell for the exoskeleton.

Can you catapult your body like a grasshopper?
A grasshopper can jump 20 times it's size!

The boys explored our courtyard and examined insects they found.

How to practice spelling number words.

A great way to practice spelling number words!  Ask your child the question, "How do you spell the number _____?"  You child should respond with a complete sentence.  "The number _______ is spelling _, _, _, _." To incorporate whole brain teaching, he should either finger spell the number in the air or write it on your back with his finger as he calls out each letter in the number word.
