South Carolina is a sweet place to live.

For Social Studies, students decorated a sugar cookie using ingredients that represent something that would be found in each of the six regions.

Chocolate Chips represented the mountains in the Blue Ridge.
Peaches represented the peaches grown in the Piedmont.
Brown Sugar represented the sand in the Sandhills.
Icing represented the cotton found in the Coastal Plain.
Raisinettes represented the soybeans found in the Coastal Plain.
Swedish Fish represented the fish found in the Coastal Zone.
