State House and State Museum Field Trip

Everyone's favorite part of the trip was the 4D Shallow Seas movie!  I heard lots of squeals and screams as the animals came to life with the special effects.

We divided into 4 groups to tour the State Museum.

We toured the Natural History section and reviewed habitats as well as the geographic regions.

We looked at dugout canoes and trains as we reviewed the early American history.

We also reviewed Revolutionary War and Civil War history and talked about life on the plantation.

At the State House, we learned why it has 6 bronze stars and how many times they had to rebuild it.

 We viewed the Senate House.
We also viewed the House of Representatives.

 Cast your vote!
 Add a personal touch.

3rd Grade Girls- both serious and silly.

3rd grade boys - both serious and silly.

What a great trip!!!!  The charter bus was comfortable and fun.  The tours were great.  We had a wonderful day of learning on our field trip.
